CONN-VICTION TAKEOVER: GOLD "NEVER KNOW"

Gold and I collaborated on a track called "Never Know"for "The Conn-viction Tapes"! Gold is one of CT's most respected emcees who is very accomplished as both an artist and promoter. After playing Gold several beats he hand selected this one and we began writing. The result is undeniable, check it out....

Bio: Gold

Marcus "Gold" Clark grew up in Hartford, CT and has been rapping since the age of fourteen. Having grown up in one of the roughest areas of Hartford (Brook St.), he was no longer a stranger to the street lifestyle. Gold soon realized that he did not want to become a product of his environment and decided to use his lyrical talents in hope of a better life for himself. His influences are Biggie Smalls, Nas and Jay Z; but he attributes his initial inspiration to Michael Jackson. Gold has won over 35 MC battles and talent shows, including the "Bar With No Name's battle" and the "Heads Held High" competition just to name a few. Winning the "Bar With No Name" six weeks in a row, the contest was forced to retire him and the "Heads Held High" earned him a photo in the Hartford Courant newspaper. Gold also has several records spinning on multiple radio stations, both college and mainstream. His music is widely known and respected in the state of Connecticut and it continues to grow as he performs across the U.S opening up for artist such as T.I, Schoolboy Q, Young Jeezy, Joe Budden, etc. With the release of his new single "Keep It 100", the release of his new mixtape mix tape "Hidden Treasure" he is definitely leaving his print in the game.

He is also a promoter for Beso Lounge (a well known club in CT) on Friday and Sunday nights, hosting events with Troy Ave, Rich Dollaz, 2 Pistols, Agnes Mo, Andre Drummond, etc. and he is currently working on the release of a video for the new single.

I am glad to see CT artists supporting each other, so when an artist like Gold is able to collaborate with another artist from the state and get the song on the radio, I only hope that everyone would support the movement. If you haven't yet heard Gold's latest single, check it out below!
